Child Safety Standards

Bloom Space has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our published standards for keeping minors safe, the conduct we prohibit, how we prevent and detect abuse, and how anyone can report a concern. It complements our App Policy & Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.

1. Our commitment

  • Zero tolerance. Any content or behaviour that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor is prohibited and removed on sight.
  • Safety over growth. We protect minors and vulnerable people even at the cost of engagement or reach.
  • We report, always.Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant regional and national authorities, as required by law.

2. Prohibited conduct

The following are never allowed on Bloom Space and result in immediate removal, a permanent ban, and a report to the appropriate authorities:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any sexual content involving a minor, real or simulated.
  • Sexualised AI-generated, illustrated, animated, or computer-generated depictions of minors.
  • Grooming — building a relationship with a minor to enable abuse, including attempts to move a minor to another platform or to a private channel.
  • Sextortion or any attempt to obtain, threaten, or coerce sexual content from a minor.
  • Trafficking, solicitation, or facilitation of any sexual activity involving a minor.
  • Sharing, requesting, or linking to CSAM anywhere on or off the platform.
  • Inappropriate adult–minor contact, or any sexual or romantic advance toward a minor.

3. Minimum age

  • Bloom Space requires a minimum age of 16 (13 in the United States, where lawful, with COPPA-compliant safeguards).
  • Accounts we determine to belong to underage users are removed.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age. See our Privacy Policy.

4. How we prevent and detect abuse

  • Proactive detection. We use automated systems to flag potential CSAE and known CSAM, combined with trained human reviewers who assess context.
  • Human review. A specialised Trust & Safety team reviews escalations under strict access controls. Automated systems alone never make the final decision on the most serious cases.
  • No dark patterns. We do not use public follower counts, infinite-scroll traps, or features that expose minors to unsolicited adult contact.
  • Persona accountability. Personas let users express different sides of themselves, but they never grant anonymity from moderation or law enforcement.
  • Continuous improvement. We review and update these standards and our tooling as threats, regulations, and best practices evolve.

5. Reporting a concern

  • In-app reporting. Every post, clip, story, voice room, persona, and direct message can be reported from the ··· / report control. Reports relating to child safety are prioritised for urgent review.
  • By email. Anyone — including non-users — can report child-safety concerns to contact@bloomspace.social.
  • To authorities. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the United States you may also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.

6. How we respond

  1. Remove the content immediately upon confirmation.
  2. Ban the account(s) involved at the account and device level.
  3. Preserve the relevant evidence in line with legal requirements.
  4. Report to NCMEC and to regional and national authorities as required by law.
  5. Cooperate with law-enforcement requests that are valid and lawful.

7. Designated point of contact

Our designated contact for child-safety and CSAM-prevention matters is reachable at contact@bloomspace.social. This contact is able to speak to our CSAE/CSAM prevention practices and compliance.

8. Legal compliance

Bloom Space complies with applicable child-safety laws in the regions where it operates and reports child sexual abuse and exploitation to the relevant regional and national authorities, including NCMEC. These standards are published in accordance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and apply to every persona, sanctuary, voice room, story, clip, and direct message on the platform.
