Moments: share something that quietly fades

Not everything needs to live on your profile forever. Moments are quick photos and videos that appear for a while, invite a reply, and then disappear.

Viewing a friend's moment full-screen in Bloom Space

A lot of what we want to share is small: the view from a train window, a coffee that came out perfect, a half-finished drawing. Posting it permanently feels like too much; not sharing it feels like a loss. Moments give those small things a place to go.

A moment is a photo or short video with optional text and stickers. It shows up in the moments row at the top of your inbox and on your persona's profile for a limited time, then fades. People can reply privately, so a moment often turns into a real conversation rather than a pile of public reactions.

No permanent record

Because moments disappear on their own, you never have to curate them. There is no grid to keep consistent, no old post to be embarrassed by, no reason to over-edit. That lowers the bar for sharing — and lowers the stakes of being seen.

Shared with the right people

Moments go out from whichever persona is active, so friends-you can post freely without work-you's followers ever seeing them. Inside a sanctuary, moments are only visible to that community. If you take a screenshot in a private conversation, the other person is told — Bloom Space favours honesty over surveillance.

Human-paced by design

There is no streak to maintain and no notification nagging you to post again. Moments are there when you have something to share and quiet when you do not.

Moments: questions, answered

Who can see my moments?
The followers of the persona you post from, or only the members of a sanctuary if you post it there.
Can people reply to a moment?
Yes. Replies arrive as private messages so a moment can turn into a conversation instead of a public comment thread.
Do moments stay on my profile?
No. Moments are ephemeral — they are shown for a limited time and then disappear from your profile and the moments row.
