Voice rooms: live audio, camera-free

Some conversations need voices, not typing. Voice rooms let a sanctuary go live in one tap — microphone only, no stage lights, no camera.

Bloom Space sanctuaries with live voice rooms listed

Text is great for planning and terrible for feelings. Video calls are exhausting. Voice rooms are the format in between: live audio you can join from the sofa, the bus or a walk, where the only thing that matters is what people say.

Voice rooms live inside sanctuaries, so they inherit the community's members and rules. Anyone in the sanctuary can see when a room is live and drop in. Hosts can mute or remove participants, and rooms are only recorded when a host explicitly turns recording on — everyone in the room is clearly told when that happens.

Low pressure, by default

There is no camera to switch on and no expectation to perform. Join, listen, speak when you want to, leave. Because rooms belong to a community you already trust, the awkward silence of a public audio stage is replaced by the easy rhythm of friends talking.

Hosted, not policed

Hosts run the room: they can mute speakers and remove anyone who breaks the sanctuary's rules. Participants can report a room or a speaker at any time, and Bloom Space's Trust & Safety team handles escalations with real, trained reviewers.

Privacy you can hear

Audio is encrypted in transit and relayed through Bloom Space's media servers; it is never used for advertising. Recording is off unless the host enables it, and when it is on, everyone sees it. Voice rooms need your microphone and nothing else — camera access is only requested if a host starts a video room.

Voice beyond rooms

If live is not your thing, Bloom Space also supports voice posts in the feed and voice notes in messages, so you can share your actual voice at your own pace.

Voice Rooms: questions, answered

Do I need a camera for voice rooms?
No. Voice rooms are audio-only and only request microphone access. Camera access is only asked for if a host starts a video room.
Are voice rooms recorded?
Only if the host explicitly enables recording, and everyone in the room is clearly notified when that happens.
Who can join a voice room?
Members of the sanctuary the room belongs to. Hosts can mute or remove participants.
